Even thought Arrow UK is coming out with a better set for Inferno I'd still get this for the region A BD for Suspiria and Mother of Tears.

DVDBeaver has posted a review of Suspiria. They say it's 1080i but the colors aren't as boosted as on the region B U.K. release.

Japan Suspiria - japanese blu ray on north american player

Hi there. quick question. Is there any reason this Japanese release of suspiria (https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Suspiria-Blu-ray/14521/) would have issues in a north american blu ray player? It is region A/region free as stated by dvdbeaver.com, and they don't mention anything about forced subtitles. Thanks a lot for any feedback,

tommy

You should be fine. If the DVDBeaver review didn't mention forced subtitles, you should be fine.

There would be no issues with playback, as Japan is Region A like the U.S. and any standard definition content would be NTSC like the U.S. as well.

Even though it will play without issue, you should still research the english-friendliness of this release. Subtitles etc. (Ex. Worst case scenario - it's only the Italian dub with only Japanese subs). I heard about this JP release awhile back (sold only in a trilogy set with Inferno and Mother of Tears, I believe), but I haven't seen anything abou the actual specs. So be cautious I guess.

Even though it doesn't have to be correct, Amazon Japan sais it's only Italian language with Japanese subtitles.

It has an English audio track, but no English subtitles.
