I don't believe there is any firm release on the extended versions. Rumor has it that it could easily be a year or more before they are released.

From what I've seen so far, FS has the best deal right now at $49.99. Not sure if you heard back on the 24th, FS screwed up and had a pre-order price of $18.99 which lasted nearly 24 hrs. FS is honoring all those that placed an order to a limit of 1 per customer.

You might want to look at the early reviews for this set before you bother to buy it. They have not been good.

We've all waited this long. I'm more than prepared to wait another year for the LOTR EE Blu-rays. I double dipped on the DVDs and refuse to do the same for the Blu's
