looking for a new bd player - Blu-ray Forum

I am considering getting a new bd player. I am looking at these two:

Sony BDP-S470
Sony BDP-S760

S470 is the latest with support for 3d etc! but since I don't care about that if I buy the S760 the only difference I can see on these two players is the 3d feature.

Why the very big difference in price. ?

Because 3D is new, players that have 3D tend to be far more expensive.

Both because of the extra hardware/software required and because they require a newer version of HDMI port.

Sony BDP-S470

This cost 200 less then the older s760 that I think I will go for.

Sony BDP-S760

Both of them uses HDMI 1.3a and not the newer 1.4, strange.
