This is the a stupid move for a smart game. WHY would they do this? I mean come one, NAMES should not be allowed.

Just to mess with people I'm going to learn names for characters in LOTR, Avatar, and any other source that has weird spelling for names.

Is that an official release by Mattel? If so then there will probably be an update to reflect the new rules.

All Mattel cares about is the brief publicity a move like this will generate among the press and fans of the game. I assume they believe hardcore fans will just ignore the change, and play under the old rules.

The trend in modern society is to "dumb down" products, in hopes that will expand the potential population that are interested. As H.L. Mencken once likely said, "You will never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American Public."
