Default National Treasure 2 - Menu in Japanese

Now this is an NZ version of the film playing on a US Ps3.

The menu is all in Japanese, I don't get the option to select English.

What's the problem and how do I change it?

On the PS3 XMB, go to Settings > Video settings > BD Menu Language. I think yours must be set to Japanese. Change it to English. Just to be on the safe side, you can also set your preferred audio and subtitles to English as well.

I keep my Japanese PS3 on Japanese because I prefer Japanese menus where available. Some US/UK released discs actually have those menus, audio and subs 'hidden', meaning they only show up when you set your player's default language to Japanese. Unfortunately, my US copy of National Treasure 2 only has Chinese and Korean, not Japanese

Hope that helps.

PS: do you have a lot of discs in NZ that have Japanese menus, audio and subs? I'm actually actively looking for such versions.

Yeah I tried that, didn't work.

With the first National Treasure it came up with the option to select English or Japanese. Not so with BoS.

To be honest mate, I am not sure.

See, I don't get that option.

It just goes straight to the main menu.

It's probably a disc with just JP menus. JP has very particular spec, so studios often split it off as its own territory disc.

I've tried two seperate discs from NZ and they both do the same thing.

I took it back to the place I got it from and they played it in their Samsung player and it gave the option of which language to watch it in.

It wont be a fault with the disc, more like a fault with your PS3 settings. Just trawl through all the options on the PS3 before you put the disc in.
