Hayao Miyazaki? - Blu-ray Forum

Are we going to get anymore Hayao Miyazaki films on bluray over here in the UK!? I bought Ponyo the other day on a blind buy cause i wanted a film for me and my brother to watch, and i absolutely loved it! And i had a look for his other films but they are only on dvd

So anyone know if we are getting any Bluray versions of his films?

i doubt any more will be released until after the Japanese releases, to so far there has only been "Ponyo", and the upcoming "Nausicaa"

Will be interesting to see who releases Nausicaa first, Disney or Optimum?

Yes, we have to wait for Ghibli to remaster them first and then once they have released them I assume it is open season for the rest of the world.

I'm waiting on Nausicaa, Grave of the Fireflies. Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and Howls Moving Castle.

I swear I saw somewhere that Mexico has one more. It looked like it was moving castle. There is one more released on BD but only in Japan. Not a very popular one but still its a Ghibli movie.
