Jordana Spiro exits 'Love Bites'

Well that's pretty crappy. I only watch My Boys because I like Spiro, Howard and Gaffigan, but now they've lost out on their own shows because of My Boys and it's unsure future? Not to mention Gaffigan left the show so he won't even be on the new season. Damn you TBS!!!! Preventing their careers from taking off, damn you!!

Jordana Spiro has fallen out of Love Bites, NBC’s upcoming romantic anthology series from Sex and the City scribe Cindy Chupack.

Spiro’s involvement with the buzzy Bites (which also stars Ugly Betty vet Becki Newton) has been the subject of much speculation given the fact that she’s still contractually bound to TBS’ My Boys. Although the odds appear slim that TBS will renew the show for a fifth season (season 4 premieres July 25), it was a risk NBC apparently wasn’t willing to take. It’s unclear if her role will be recast.

The Peacock faces a similar dilemma with Spiro’s My Boys costar Kyle Howard, who is one of the leads of NBC’s new comedy Perfect Couples.

I'm confused on how this is TBS' fault. It's not like they demanded that Spiro exit Love Bites. Are they supposed to cancel My Boys before it's fourth season airs just so some of their actors can go star on shows for another network? I'm curious on why NBC hired Spiro in the first place if they weren't willing to risk My Boys being picked up for another season. They knew they wouldn't have a definitive answer by now.

Well nearly all networks who hire actors have to contend with the first place contracts of the actors. It's a very typical thing to deal with. TBS is just a last place network with almost no original shows, so they have no audience. My Boys never gets renewed until months after their seasons end, so it completely ties up the actors ability to move on.

Wow, they might as well just scrap this show all together.
