Default Sony Blu Ray Player?

I am in the market for a new dvd player.I have the Sony 60"SXRD. I was going to just jump out and purchase the Toshiba HD-DVD player, but I am going to wait. I am also a videogame fan. I have the Xbox 360.I am also going to purchase the PS3.Does anyone have a ballpark figure on how much the Sony Blu Ray player is going to be? I have been reading that it is going to be awhile before it launches. If it is going to be awhile,I'll purchase the Sony Blu Ray player.

PS3 will satisfy you as your next DVD/Blu-ray Player
However I don't know if it'll upscale your DVDs...

Tweeter quoted 999.00 for the Sony with a July/August eta.
The first player available will be the Samsung on 5-23 with the Pioneer Elite coming a few weeks later.
