Default Your five favorite films in the Criterion Collection?

Out of all the films Criterion has previously released on DVD, which five are your favorite?

My top five:
Rushmore (1998)
Sullivan's Travels (1941)
Silence of the Lambs (1991)
Ace in the Hole (1951)
Jules and Jim (1962)

HM: Le Samourai (1967)
and also the short-film La Jetee (1962)

Last Year at Marienbad
Days of Heaven

Oh yeah, Le Samourai is a fantastic film. Maybe should be my #5 instead of La Jetee to make it five feature-lengths.

My favorite of the Kurosawas is Drunken Angel.

The Earrings of Madame De...
Sansho the Bailiff
Fires on the Plain

Hard to choose, and I'm sure I could easily add a lot more than 5.

Same here. I've only picked three so far.

The Last Emperor
For All Mankind
The Third Man

For All Mankind I liked the least, but that's because I own When We Left Earth. Hard to top the full six-part documentary with a Reader's Digest version. I saw Emperor in the theatres long ago so I knew I'd enjoy it. The Third Man, like For All Mankind, was a blind buy, and I really enjoyed that.

My next Criterion purchase will most likely be Stagecoach. After that, I'm eyeing Kagemusha, M and Walkabout.
