Arrow What would Pixar's Iron Man Look Like?

Pixar produced a variant Comic Cover for the Marvel Superhero. Check out their take on the character:

Quote:
For months many have wondered when we'd see Disney and Marvel start to work together. While we've seen Marvel merch start to show up at Disney theme parks, an announcement from Marvel Comics today elevates the collaboration and corporate synergy one step further. Pixar is taking a stab at the Golden Avenger.

For months Marvel has been unveiling a flood of Iron Man variant covers. Decorating just about every major release for the past couple months, Marvel has called upon a wide, wide variety of comic book artists to do "alternate universe" takes on Iron Man. Dubbed "Iron Man by Design 2.0" variants, these ideas range from Gladiator Iron Man to iconic, stylish takes on the current iteration of the character. Marvel's latest variants do the same, but summon two of Pixar's concept artists, Ronnie del Carmen and Bill Presing, for the task. Del Carmen has worked as Story Supervisor, Storyboard Artist and Character Designer on such films as Finding Nemo and Wall-E. Presing has contributed to Up and Ratatouille as a Storyboard Artist.

Fans interested in purchasing these pieces can track down the variants at their local comic book retailers. A word of warning - they're somewhat hard to find. Del Carmen's cover, a variant for Invincible Iron Man #27, goes on sale June 9. Presing's variant for Iron Man: Legacy #3 hits stores on June 23.

The Marvel heroes I want to see Pixar do are the Phoenix entity and the Silver Surfer.

Why can't they animate it properly. Why not make it look like this: -

Ummm...wow! I'm not sure I like how these look. I guess I'll have to wait and see what the final product looks like.

I'm just still hoping Disney or Marvel will bring back Wolverine and the X-MEN which didn't deserve to be cancelled.

They better go back to the drawing board because that sh!t is not Iron Man.

And i thought Disney wasn't changing anything when they bought Marvel then WTF is that?

They're rare collectible variant covers, pretty much not going to find them unless you have a lot of cash and enough time to hunt them down.

Rare collectible variant covers or not their still changing the concept of Iron man and a variant cover is of the same picture drawn differently not a different design of the character altogether.

But this is of a comic so I'll let it slide....for now.

Not true. This type of thing is nothing new. I have The Walking Dead issue 50 variant where Rick the Governor and some of the other characters are drawn as super heroes. It doesnt change the character and it doesnt affect the storyline. Its just a fun limited cover.

Agree to disagree? because I have about 50 variant issues of X-Men, Deadpool, Wolverine, Spider-Man and Incredible Hulk of my own that says different.

BTW: I don't think thats Iron Man anymore, it looks more like War Machine to me now, stars & red white and blue, the planes, MK-3 (Same thing I seen on WM in IM2) and the guns on each arm tells me that this is War Machine not Iron Man.

I like them. They're very unique and original. Would you guys really prefer if Pixar just followed all these guidelines and made an exact copy of Granov/ILM's Iron Man? They're trying to be different from all those artists who just mimic Granov's Iron Man designs like in that "proper" 2D Iron Man design that was posted earlier.

I would love to see more re-imagined Marvel heroes from Pixar.

I would also LOVE to see some Marvel characters in Pixar movies, but I figured they would animate some of the lesser known heroes.

Also....this just in.....those pics are hideous.

Yes indeed.

I know its not traditional, and that may insult purists, but it looks really mean and nasty. Like a Terminator John Wayne thing going on. I love it.
