Hi,
Just wanted to let people there are much more titles than those listed. I don't want to lose my job as the sale doesn't start for a few more hours but I counted about 30+ titles from the store I'm at (many more on the physical list but it included some twice due to different packaging).

Still nothing outstanding, or anything I would say is worth $30 based on the ads wording, but may be worth a look even if you don't care for the titles listed in the ad.

Some of the one's in the store I'm at not listed in the flyer include:
PotC Trilogy (per title, not for the box set)
Wayne's World 1&2 (again seperate)
XXX
Hitch
Crimson Tide
Pearl Harbor
Gone in 60 Seconds

There are others on the list but I'm guessing it all depends on each stores availablility...

As a point of interest I picked up PotC Dead Man's Chest. It scanned as regularly $29.99... so there you go...

Last edited by russeII; 06-18-2010 at 11:03 PM. Reason: removed the CE from after Gone in 60 Seconds (copied it from the list, it's not a collector's edition, code for Canadian-Eng)

so all the PotCs are $9.99?

If so, ill have the trilogy for $35! I bought Black Pearl for $15 at FS already.

Even with all 3 individual movies for $15 at FS and BB, what is the point of pricing the trilogy at $85+

heck you might as well get all 3 steelbooks for that much!

good point. but i doubt fs will price match the steels with that sale price. maybe the regular ones, but their steels fall under a diff web id code.

lol not what i meant

the trilogy is $80 @ FS, the steels are $30 each, so for $10 more you can have the trilogy in steelbook form

if you just want the blu cases you can have it for $30 @ Zellers or $45 @ FS

I was there tonight and my store had a moonlight madness going on and I got an extra 10% and 15k bonus points.

However, the only movie I would consider getting, PEARL HARBOUR, was $14.99 on the sticker and $29.99 as the scan in.

I think $15 is still high for that movie. It should be $9.99.

Think these are decent prices.

Picked up

POTC: Curse of the Black Pearl w/slipcover
POTC: Dead Mans Chest w/slipcover
POTC: At Worlds End
Pearl Harbor
Surrogates w/slipcover
Gone in 60 Seconds

Came to $67 and change with the tax.

All were tagged $14.99 and scanned at $9.99

Did not like SURROGATES. Cool special effects, but predictable and unmemorable story, especially when there are so many other movies which have done the robot-human story to death.

I highly recommend Surrogates if you really enjoy classic hard sf stories. We don't get a lot of this sort of science fiction, and have to make do with blockbuster special effects fantasy or action films to supplement our need for science fiction fixes. This is a story true to its SF roots. If you enjoy the old Twilight Zone science fiction episodes or the best of any of the Outer Limits TV series, or the likes of more recent SF films like I, Robot (good movie, even if it wasn't Asimov's tale, only his title) or Minority Report, this might appeal to you. I don't know if it will be a classic or not, but Surrogates deals with some of those classic SF motifs, the ethics and morality of humans and machines, and the nature of reality and existence.

similar to Blade Runner? I love all kinds of sci-fi, really enjoy Arnold's stuff (Total Recall, Running Man) and most older movies (Fifth Element, Dark City, Blade Runner, Star Wars) most self proclaimed "sci-fi" films from the past 5 years or so really don't interest my that much. All of the phycological elements that really make you think are gone, replaced with special effects, space ships and robots and they think that automatically makes it sci-fi (i guess in a way it does, it's not carrying on with the genre that the older films created)

The Fifth Element and Dark City are "older" movies? Star Wars is slightly older than I am and even then I don't consider it to be "older". The Day the Earth Stood Still, now that's older.

i wouldnt say surrogates is similar to blade runner at all/ total recall. thats giving it too much credit. dont get me wrong, i didnt NOT like it.. it was an entertaining viewing (and im a sci-fi + bruce willis fan) so the fact i wasnt sold enough to buy it just goes to show it did lack a little something. i found it was very similar to I Robot. still for $10 bucks, id pick it up. heck, i paid that much just to check it out in theaters.

One Zellers here sold out in about 10 minutes of almost everything, and the one I went to the next day (Saturday) had almost all of it. Then I remembered what people in here said about the PoTC movies and grabbed the only one I could find (Dead Man's Chest) and it scanned in at $9.99 so I got that and Coming to America =). ALMOST tempted to try and go back to the original one and see what the PoTC scan in as today
