Default Why am I starting this thread?? Hatchet

With freddy vs. jason coming out today on blu I just got thinking about hatchet because kane hodder is in that movie and he use to play Jason. Just curious as to what you guys thought of Hatchet and also what did you think of the PQ of it???? I was expecting really poor PQ but it was amazing for a standard DVD.

Also it's crazy that robert englund and kane hodder appeared in this low budget film.

The humor completely missed the mark with me, as well as the annoying smartass dialogue. Peace.

I enjoyed Hatchet. It was a fun little romp with loads of gory killings.

A definite renter.

What's so crazy about either of them playing in a low budget horror movie? That seems to be all either of them do now.

Also, where did Freddy vs Jason get released on Blu? I haven't heard any word on it hear in the U.S..

I agree 100%. Behind The Mask was the clever movie and Hatchet was mostly one bad joke.

I couldn't stand Behind The Mask. I only watched about 15 minutes of Hatchet before I got bored and already annoyed at the humor. I don't think humor and horror mix and should be kept far away from each other. If used, it needs to just be obvious they didn't try so hard to mend the 2 together. Like Jason Takes Manhattan - Jason punching a man's head clean off. Hilarious and worked well.

Hatchet was okay.. as another poster said, I found it to be a little boring. But the gore was fun.

I don't mean it's crazy that they are in a low budget movie, I meant it's crazy that they are both in the same low budget movie!

I thought Hatchet was funny and just fun all together. It's not for everyone though.

Behind the Mask was pretty good too, but It's not worth a second viewing to me.

Robert Englund does tons of low budget horror films. He actually has said he prefers them to big budget films because they tend to be a hell of a lot more fun.
