Default Securing my home electronics

I'm was shopping around on entertainment stands that I could possibly modify to securely lock up my components when I'm away. Any suggestions? The TV does not need to be locked up- but I want my other stuff locked up. I don't want to have to move my stuff everyday and such. It's a 50'' rear LCD tv.

How "secure" does it need to be? Is this to keep kids or room mates fingers of your gear, or are you talking something stronger? Because almost any cabinet with doors can be modified for cam locks.

Do you live in an apartment? Out of curiosity, why the security? Roommates? Kids? Maid? Just curious so I know what to suggest.

I have to secure the home- but I'm saving up funds to do so. So I wanted a way to protect my electronics during the construction phase. So kinda heavy duty.
Ive been looking for tv benches without glass doors and such so I can lock it down.
