In case anyone had missed it...the Aviator will be coming out in the UK on June 8th...release by Buena Vista.

Over here it's Warner: with compressed sound and a widely criticized transfer.

Other alternatives are the Dutch (DFW - DTS HD MA 16 bit) or French release (TF1 - DTS HD MA).

Dutch loses the commentary (if you care about extras) and the French has forced subs.

Both aren't options for me.

I'd really like the movie with lossless audio. It's one of my favorite movies. =)

We won't know till it's out but I'm sure it will be. I believe Buena Vista is always region free.

Apparently there's a German release planned for July, I believe. Perhaps it's been pushed back until then.

The german one seems to be delayed as well. I was hoping for a UK version from disney.

The German is to come out 9/24, apparently.

There's a Polish version that is BD-50 and TrueHD out now.

It's a Miramax film, and Disney are currently looking to sell that division. It could explain why this never came out.
