Hello everyone. Just wanted to show what I have done so far in my meak HT. I started with just a PS3 and a plasma tv. I added a HTiB and thought "wow!". But after a while I felt that there had to be an even better experience to be had. I knew the PQ was great but the AQ was lacking. I started my quest to gain as much knowledge on HT audio as possible. I came across the Energy Take Classic 5 speaker package on NewEgg. Found a budget sub on Parts-express and a great deal on a Sony ES series AVR. I put these pieces together and was totally in awe at the difference in AQ. I have added a pair of RC-10's up front and had a custom credenza built to house everything. I need to mount the plasma on the wall and zip tie the cables in the credenza yet to finish it off! Check out my gallery and give me any feedback!

Nice job. It has improved a good amount with that credenza. It has really improved the look of the room. Energys are a good speaker, so I am sure you enjoy their sound. Any questions, ask away, this is a great place to learn about all kinds of things in HT. By the way, I'm from Lancaster, so that makes you about an hour away I figure.

My stand is open, so I don't have anything to compare to Mpeake. Mid 90's seems OK or perhaps on little on the warm side IMO.....

2 days ago we had a nasty storm. When I got home from work my wife said the power had gone out. She said when it came back on there was a loud pop. I turned on the AVR and noticed that the TV said no signal. So upon inspection and a little troulbleshooting I found that the AVR's HDMI ports (in and out) were inoperable, and when checking the RCA's on the AVR I heard audio but very quiet. Also my Dish DVR's HDMI out was no good, again the analog out was good but the HDMI was fried. Everything else in the setup was OK. I also lost the LCD TV in my living room, the power supply on that one is toast. I have all of my gear on Staples brand surge protection so I guess I am gonna have to get an UPS or something of that sort for better protection. I think everything is warrantied so I hope to have it all replaced or fixed.
