Just saw this at Axel for a generous £12 (The US version is still at £20)

is the Canadian version the same as the US? seems so from the listings on the back. Also, does it have English / french writing on the cover?

The Canadian disc is the same as the US one. Here's the blu-ray.com listing, & as you can see the cover art (which is accurate) shows no signs of French: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Hallo...-Blu-ray/8824/
