December has some release spread out a bit, but here's what's coming to Canadian shelves just before Christmas:

I heard that the UK blu-ray of Mesrine had pretty good PQ and AQ. I hope Alliance just uses those and doesn't (pardon my French Canadian) **** it up! I've been waiting for thse movies forever and I'll buy them regardlessly but I still want a decent transfer, not another Se7en scenario!

Both Trailer Park Boys discs were released today. The double feature disc(both feature films only) is 1080p, single disc, 50GB, no subs, 5.1 DTS-HD MA for both films.

I only bought 'Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys' since I already have the other 2 films on blu. Here are the specs on the back cover for the 47-minute TV special:
-1080p
-1.78:1
-5.1 Dolby Digital
-English(SDH) subs
-Extras: Behind-the-Scenes, Alternative Takes
-Mini-poster of Bubbles, same as DVD cover really

Not sure if it has been mentioned but "Lost in Translation" was also released yesterday (Dec 7). Saw a few copies in Future Shop & got one.

I understand the film will exclusively be available in Amazon.com for our US counterparts before wide release in January.

I've scanned the back cover of the TPB Double Feature, is there a way for me to submit it to Blu-Ray.com? (I have a better quality copy than this one, but the 92KB limit for album images here made it look bad)



I can confirm that the info listed is accurate, in case anyone was worried about Alliance misprints. Both movies on one BD-50, no special features whatsoever. Did the original BD for Liquor Day look overly DNR'ed? This one looked pretty waxy to me, but the first movie on this disc looked fine.

Is anyone planning on getting the Mesrine Part 1 disc on Tuesday? I've held off on the UK edition because I am hoping the transfers are superior on separate BD-50 discs with English subs for the extras.

Thanks. Is that how it usually works, I should just post cover images in the appropriate threads and someone will add them? Or is there a more direct way to do it? Also, what is the best way to post the higher quality image? It's not huge, only about 500KB, but it's much easier to read.

Thanks for the link, I had actually already been in the "Edit Movie" page for this release, but I didn't see "Manage Covers" in tiny text at the top. I think it might be easier if it was in-line with the other fields.

Going to assume Amazon.ca have the wrong date listed for The American and not hope to see it tomorrow since HMV, Future Shop and any other places in Canada show the 28th like the US.

Correct. They just never updated that listing. Would be worth checking the link tomorrow to see if they are already shipping it.

BTW, the Canadian edition will be only 1 disc & without slipcover.
