Default Audio Wires Near Power Wires

so i'm wiring my HT right now and i've got the wire for my fronts & mids in.

i also have to run a power cable in wall up behind the plasma.

how should i go about doing this so i don't lose any quality in the audio cables?? i'm gonna come close to 2 or 3 outlets while i'm running the speaker wires.

in this picture, the blue box is representing where i plan on putting the outlets for the audio equipment and ps3. the speaker wire goes right over the top.....how much of a problem is that going to be.....if any. the power cable is going in between the same studs as the blue box as well.

i'm gonna run the power cables about 3-4" below the speaker wire and wire the box from the bottom.

also, i ran into a problem w/the coax cables i have for my subs. 1 is to long....by about 5-10 feet and the other is too short.

can i cut the one off and put the end back on to make it the right lenght??

i'm just going to get a longer cable for the other one.

As long as the wires are running perpendicular to the power, there won't be any problems. If they must run parallel to the power try to keep them at least 24" apart.

As to your first question if you're 4" away with your holes for your speaker wire you should be ok also I'm assuming that your speaker wire won't be in the same outlet box as your power conductors. You would really only run into trouble if you ran power and speaker wire bundled together.
As for the sub cable if its an RCA jack on the end I would avoid reterminating it because a field termination could introduce losses whereas a manufacturer's termination keeps termination losses to a minimum.

Hope that helps.
