WOw amazing news, my most awaited blu ray or dvd of the year, i hope bhavani dvd is in hindi, as that is the only language i know not telagu, or tamil. I hope the picture quality is A-1 steller, this movie deserves the best treatment , it is one of the finest movies i have ever seen in terms of special effects.

India weekly still has the hindi sun robot release as January 20th, i hope that is still a go, but they have a tendency to understate the dates for most of their releases.

Now get that robot blu ray out, i wish moser bauer had rights it would be out already, or yash raj, pity

You bet! I havent seen a Telugu DVD in the last 5 years without English subs!

Yes, I am almost 99.99% sure it will have English Subs. It has become mandatory for the past few years for all DVDs to have subs.

If its a Blu-ray, it is 100% guaranteed to have subs too.

If Sri Balji Video was smart, they would've released the DVD/Bluray before the telecast on Gemini TV...When 3 Idiots was telecasted on July 26th, DVD came out just 4-5 days before and were able to make a bigger profit...When half of Andhra watches Robo on TV (It's being telecasted as I type this!), who would want to shell Rs. 125/699 for DVD/Bluray??

lol ... blame Sun TV for that. Gemini TV probably had a deal with the companies not to make any news about the DVD or Blu-ray release until it telecasts the movie on TV.

If the Blu-ray releases in one week from now as expected I will buy it for upto Rs 999/-

If it releases after January I have decided not to buy this.
I might just get the DVD for Rs 150/- ... let them enjoy a loss on Blu-ray making if they release so late.

I hope you didn't see the movie on Gemini TV. The ads are so irritating plus they have cheap pop-up ads when the movie is playing also which makes it even worse. Not to mention, the video quality is TV quality (blurry on big screen) with below average audio.

I watched Robo when it came out in theaters but the sound quality was lacking..if i want to watch it again, it has to be DVD/Bluray (surround sound is must)...Back in 2008 when Sivaji aired on TV, there was 10 min movie, 10 min ads (LITERALLY)..Movie started at 7pm and ended at 12:30..Movie is 3 hours..Ads were 2:30 hrs..If Sivaji had that much hype, cant imagine how much Robo will have..

But I totally agree with you...This will be a skip if it doesnt come out by end of month

Comparing to the Tamil DVD cover (those who saw it on Ayngaran's website), this cover is SOO MUCH BETTER!

who said bluray is coming out. their website says only vcd and dvd.

Umm..their ads in the papers - posted above?

Looks like they dont add BluRay to their site until later - as you can see with Orange. I believe they did the same with Darling as well.
