Piranha (1978) and the other Corman Cult Classics - Vivendi Release - Blu-ray Forum

Noticed that Vivendi have released the Shout Factory BDs of the Corman Cult Classics line in Canada. My understanding is that Vivendi don't region code there titles. Are any owners able to confirm the Canadian releases region status? or have I got the wrong end of the stick with Vivendi. I know there are people everywhere gagging to get the Corman Blus hampered by the region lock. I'm in the UK and there's little to no chance we'll be getting them.

Even though amazon.ca lists them being from Vivendi, I don't think they are since Vivendi doesn't have a division in Canada...

Anyways, I'm sure these discs are identical to the US ones.

Oh right that's interesting. I was browsing this site and noticed that the Canadian edition was listed as Vivendi and thought there was hope. Can anyone confirm 100% either way? I presume there is at least a Canadian release?

Looked into it a bit, the cover art does state Shout Factory in Canada, but is distributed by Visual Entertainment Canada. I am now certain that the contents of the disc & cover art are identical to the US release.

Anything released here by a company that starts with a 'V', seems to get assigned to Vivendi. Used to happen with VVS titles as well.

Oh cheers for looking into it. Looks like I go back to dreaming of a day when I can get decent copies of Corman titles.
