Default Exclusive 'Mortal Kombat' Blu-ray Double Feature Giveaway

Blu-ray.com is giving away a 'Mortal Kombat' prize package to one randomly selected Facebook friend. Simpy reply to the corresponding wall post on the blu-ray.com Facebook page with the MK warrior or warriors you'd most like to see appear in Warner's 'Mortal Kombat Legacy' web series. The winner of this giveaway will receive one BD copy of 'Mortal Kombat' and one BD copy of 'Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.' All blu-ray.com members are eligible for this contest.

The winner will be contacted via Facebook, but must also be a member at blu-ray.com. (Site membership is free.) The contest will end Monday, April 18th at 11:59 EST and the winner will be announced shortly thereafter. Multiple replies will not earn entrants multiple entries in the drawing. Thank you for your continued support of blu-ray.com!

So, how exactly do these Facebook contests work? Does the winner just need to give their BD.com username as proof? If that is the case, anyone who comments on the page for the contest could just select a random username from the site and have nothing to do with BD.com at all.

I'm thinking if they did ask for a username that they would probably contact the person through here. So picking a random username probably wouldn't work too well. I hope I win though lol.

I'm strongly disliking this social network requirement for contests. Stick within the community guys.

strongly dislike it as you will, but think of it from a business aspect. doing this brings new followers to a facebook page, which gets the site's news and reviews to more people. so, in return for them giving YOU something, you give THEM something. every site that runs contests has done this. forum contests don't add members to the site facebook page, which in turn keeps YOUR FRIENDS off the site. THIS, however, gets YOUR FRIENDS on the site, by them seeing your comments, your likes, etc.

Correct. The winner will be asked to provide their blu-ray.com username, and then be asked to respond to a message sent to their blu-ray.com account for verification purposes.
