Default 1080p vs 1080P




I have always thought the proper way to indicate video resolution was using a lower case 'p' or 'i' as in 480i/p or 1080i/p. It seems more magazines and store advertisements are switching over from 1080p and using 1080P instead. All costco TV specs are this way. It would seem odd writing 480I over 480i for example. I continue to use 1080p.

Just wondering what everyone else's take on it is.
