It looks cheesy, but is actually funny to see the DJs being all so angry with this

Anyone checking this out over the weekend? Cautiously optimistic for this one.

I may or may not. Depends if I decide to see the re-release of Age of Ultron instead. Harloff from Schmoes Know hated it, saying if you've seen the trailer, you've seen the film.

David Ehrlich gave it a positive review so my interest is piqued.

That. Plus I'm not a fan of "I'm gonna get rich and pay off all my debts by throwing ace parties bro" wish fulfilment vibe the trailer is aiming for.

For years I was a DJ, started back in the late 80's in the real underground Rave scene of San Francisco. Obviously Manchester would have been aces but I'm here in the states.
Any film revolving around DJ's always peaks my interest, or even the underground scene. So this one caught my attention, it has since fallen off my radar going by reviews of this being a lame drama than an actual film about making it as a DJ.
Although my opinion is anyone with a laptop can be a DJ now, not what it used to be. Give these laptop DJ's 2-4 turntables, a stack of vinyl and no beat counters and see how they do.
This will be a rental as I just want to see the music scenes and skip all the 90210 bs.

Have you seen a film called Eden that's been released recently? It follows the creation of French House music. I haven't been able to catch it but it grabbed my interest and it's apparently really good.

If it stays around 40% on RT, it is my choice to become a chic 'misunderstood gem' by film blogs within 5-10 years.

No I haven't, Thanks for pointing it out it looks really good. Here in the states we got movies like Groove, which was not that good except for the closing few minutes with Bedrock's Heaven Scent and John Digweed.
I liked Better living through circuitry,Human Traffic and Loved 24 Hour Party People.
Thanks again off to track down Eden.

Update: Looks like Eden was just in limited release here in June and can't find it anywhere. Might take a few months before I get to it or maybe import it. Trailer looked great and reviews have been pretty solid. Plus he uses Turntables !! As Daft Punk's "One More Time" was just hitting big here is when I stepped away from the decks.

This movie was so much better than I thought it was going to be. BUT, the preview was absolutely terrible, I had no idea of was goning to be what it was. The music and beats were great!
