Did a scan just now of various websites for the Alien Anthology Blu-ray set, I am sure these prices will change by Tuesday or on Tuesday itself, and some sites below may have discount coupons you can use to lower your price:
Borders.com-$135.99 Barnes & Noble.com-$114.37 Fry's.com-$89.99 Best Buy.com-$94.99 Target.com-$99.49 Walmart.com-$97.86 Sears.com-$94.49 Amazon.com-$89.99 Costco.com-$89.99 Amazon.co.uk-Roughly $57* * The Amazon.co.uk website as most here would know is Amazon's site in the United Kingdom. While it is packaged differently than the U.S. set, many people have confirmed the discs are region-free which means they would work on U.S. Blu-ray players. After the conversion rate, the Blu-ray set runs roughly $57 dollars shipped standard air. If you don't mind the difference in packaging, then this would be the best bet for you. Here is a link for a Borders in-store coupon for 40% off "list" price, I have to assume that means their in-store price will be the $139.99 MSRP price, but I can't confirm. Can anyone else? This coupon good through the 25th of October as well: http://www.bordersmedia.com/coup/201...id=SA_20101022 Here is a coupon code for Barnes & Noble that gives 15% for all users and expires October 27th: Coupon Code: U3D8B4J If anyone knows of any other deals, continue this thread if you would like. |

Come Tuesday, I hope folks post here what the prices are in store. It will be too difficult in the master thread to find anything there come Tuesday.
I might wait a few days to get it from Best Buy if it is $79.99 or thereabouts. I want to make sure if the price lowers on BF that I'll be in the 30 day window. Nice job on getting the prices and posting them by the way. |

Thanks again.
I'm stuck since I want the US release and do not want to wait for individual releases. I do not have D-Theater or HDTV versions of these movies. BV local stores do not appear that they will have these for rental and I dropped NF a couple of months ago. If it is $79.99 at Best Buy or a store that has 30 day guarantee, I'm in. I'd rather walk out with it than wait for it being shipped from somewhere as well. So that is my story! ![]() |

The store price at Best Buy and Target are ricidulous. One was $94.99 and the other $109 and change. You can price match I guess if that is where you choose to do your business but I know lots will just remain on the shelves till prices are much more reasonable.

Actually more folks seem to like the UK set as I suppose why not given the price!
![]() Seriously, more concerns with the US set regarding about taking the discs out and placing them back into the package than the UK set. I may up caving cause even on BF the price of the US set will probably not be better than the UK set is now. What I hate though is if something is wrong with it and I even saw a post where a disc was missing! What a hassle!! |
