Default Favorite Director?

I looked through the forum to see if there was already a thread about this and didn't find one, so I'm here to ask: who is your favorite director?

- George Lucas?
- Steven Spielberg?
- Martin Scorsese?
- David Fincher?
- James Cameron?
- Quentin Tarantino?
- Stanley Kunbrick?
- Michael Bay?
- Wes Anderson?
- Paul Thomas Anderson?
- Alfred Hitchcock?
- Christopher Nolan?
- Mel Gibson?
- Zack Snyder?
- Kevin Smith?
- Judd Apatow?
- Danny Boyle?
- Ridley Scott?
- Roland Emmerich?
- Coen brothers?

I'm not gonna make a poll because there are hundreds of thousands of directors out there and there's no way I'm gonna get them all in a poll.

So who is it and why? It could be someone who has made 1 film or 118, doesn't matter.

For my personal choice, I still haven't decided yet, but I believe it will ultimately be between Scorsese and Fincher for my personal #1 spot.
