Looks like the briefcase will be available as a U.S. edition sans Steelbook courtesy of WBShop.com. It is available first to Insider members, but I believe that becoming a member is quite easy. WB states that the set will be available for a limited time, and I'm not sure if it will be offered by other retailers. The set looks very similar to other releases in terms of included items. Here's the description from WB:
A WBSHOP.COM EXCLUSIVE! Available in the US only at WBshop.com, this special Inception gift set includes both the Blu-ray disc and DVD of Inception housed in a special metal briefcase. Also included in the briefcase are seven Art Cards, "The Cobol Job Comic,", a replica Spinning Top Totem, and a replica PASIV Device Instruction Manual. Fewer than 2000 are available for purchase in the USA! Details on the exclusive extras: ♦The metal briefcase measures 9 x 6.5 x 2.75 inches. ♦The full-color "The Cobol Job" comic measures 5.75 x 4 inches and is 33 pages long. ♦The 10-page black & white PASIV instruction manual measures 5.75 x 4.5 inches. ♦The full-color art cards measure 5.75 x 4 inches. ♦The heavyweight zinc alloy spinning top totem is 1.25 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches tall. This item can be gift-boxed. Ships to U.S. Destinations Only. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

nice, but where does it says "steelbook"?
![]() These briefcase editions are not rare anymore...I think I'm going to buy the amaray since they seem less common ![]() Can anyone comfirm that it is a steelbook inside? "This item ships 2 days after you place your order. " ??? Last edited by crystal_sun; 11-11-2010 at 10:14 PM. |

Why not order the one from Germany that includes the steelbook...way cheaper route than the US path
![]() If you buy the FYE steelbook and the US briefcase edition = $90. If you buy Germany steelbook + briefcase = $54 ![]() |

I looked over both sites and compared the differences: Germany: steelbook, 2 discs US: amaray, 3 discs, 33 pages comic From what I see, I assume both has artcards, 10 pages black & white PASIV instruction manual and totem and of course, the briefcase. I can always sell the amaray for like $20. So it'd come out $70 (minus shipping)... not that much of a deal or too expensive but it's something I can live with. Their site is messed up based on what others are saying. I put mine in a few minutes back though and everything appears to be in order. Got the email confirm as well.

40 EURO convert to $54 USD. I hope the US folks buy it from FYE....we need to show FYE that US loves steelbook...gotta support the US economy. I already ordered both...but might cancel the Germany one ![]() Last edited by crystal_sun; 11-12-2010 at 02:41 AM. |
