What Shows Do Your Friends Like (but you HATE)? - Blu-ray Forum

I've, recently, tried giving Arrested Development another shot.
I tried watching it a few times, while it was on the air. I never could get into it. My friends pressured me to give it another shot. I did. It only made me hate the show even more.
I tried again, recently, because my roommates all love the show.
I have to say, I think it's a contrived piece of garbage.
So, it got me thinking.
What shows do other people have a strong distaste for, in spite of the apparent mass appeal.
Name one or make a list.
My only rule is that we all try our best to leave reality tv and game shows out of it, because they're far too easy of targets.

Here's my top (or bottom) five:

Arrested Development
The Office (and pretty much every other mockumentary style show)
Lost
The Shield
Seinfeld

A friend of mine absolutely loves Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Personally, I can't stand it.

I wouldn't say hate but my sister and her boyfriend loved 24, I stopped watching it around the third season. I'll maybe buy the DVD boxset somewhere down the line but it wasn't something I was overly hooked to. My other sister also loves Family Guy, personally I just don't find it funny bar the odd episode.

wow. all of these are classics (well, The Office was up until season 5 lol) i would hate (and be very fearful) to see what shows you do like

I will admit though, that I did watch one episode by choice, John Stamos was on it so I wanted to see if there were any Uncle Jesse jokes or if he would sing. I was disappointed

As for ones listed in the poll...Family Guy. HORRIBLE show imo.

All "comedies" on CBS: Two and a Half Men, Mike and Molly, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory.

CSI (All)

Most shows on USA: Burn Notice, Psych, Royal Pains, etc

Basically anything recent with a "laugh track"

Also Family Guy, I don't hate it, I just really don't find it funny

In recent years for me it was Lost. Everyone around me was completely BONKERS about that show,except me. I started watching it, the first 15 or so episodes and then I just stop. I just could not care for the story or the characters. Of course everyone else was just so in love with the show, always talking about it and me just saying "sorry I don't watch it".

I know what some of you mean about Lost. I watched the first episode because there were rumors when it was to first air that it might be a retelling of the classic The Lost World. Unfortunately it wasn't and other than seeing a part of an episode here and there I never saw what the popularity for it was.
