Atlantic City - Blu-ray Forum

My wife and I are going to Atlantic City for a weekend, and it will be our first time. We'll be staying at the Tropicana, but I wanted to see if I could get some tourism suggestions for Atlantic City. Any spots that come recommended or places to avoid would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

Tropicana is one of my favorites. There's also an IMAX theatre located inside the casino. Definitely check out the Borgata which isn't located on the Boardwalk. If you're into sports bars then I'd suggest going to Game On which is located in the mall (Pier Shops) across from Caesars. There's also an illuminated light/water show at the end of the mall. It goes off every hour and you should check it out at least once.

Dining will be costly, but there's a Mcdonalds off the main strip that actually has a dollar menu. There's also plenty of outlet shops to see and find deals at during this time of the year. I usually always check out Brooks Brothers and load up on ties. Just be sure to bring a warm jacket because it will be chilly walking around as well as on the boardwalk. If you like buffet's I'd recommend the Sultan's Feast @ the Taj. However, it has gone a bit downhill over the years. Again, if you manage to get to the Borgata try and hit their buffet..it's fantastic.

You're trying to upgrade the Audio System, and the wife gave you a $500 budget right???? I suggest you just gamble very little, and stick 20's in your pocket, so when you get home you can have more play-money to do your audio-upgrading! The enjoyment will last a lot longer than your luck on the roullette table

i havent been there myself, but my uncle said if i ever visit you have to check out the Taj Mahal...
