United Kingdom AI: Artificial Intelligence?

Does anyone know if we will be getting this released on Blu over here anytime soon? It is being released in America in February and I don't want to import it if we will be getting it to, but I can't find any information on it...

Its actually been announced for the US, Canada, Germany, France, Finland, Greece, Japan, Poland, Italy and Spain
https://www.blu-ray.com/search/?quic...archbutton.y=0

So im sure a UK release is going to happen, but for whatever reason its just not yet been put up for pre-order, but as all the countries above are getting it by Feb 2011 im guessing it will be around the same time for us.

It would have been awesome. I haven't seen this in a while but I wonder how different Lots O' from TS3 looks compared to the Teddy different techniques I know but Teddy looked amazing at the time.

Thanks for the heads up on the book. I love film books especially about films that never got made. Check this sucker out.

Still no news for a UK release? The BVA says it has been 'Pulled from schedule'. I can't imagine why though, it's already out across the channel.

It might make you feel better to know that there are literally DOZENS of Blu-ray titles that Warner Bros has released outside the UK (many of these titles have been released in multiple territories btw), that Warner Bros has chosen NOT to release in the UK.

Around a year ago I attempted to compile a list of Warner Bros titles that were out on Blu-ray in Australia, but not the UK, but I gave up when I got to the 50th Australian Warner Bros title that hadn't had a UK Blu-ray release.

Hi,

Anyone been able to get confirmation that the US release of A.I. is region ABC (free)?

I'd like to pre-order from MovieTyme but I can't find any confirmation that it's region free !?

It's Dreamworks so it'll be region FREE.

Confirmation of region status wont be confirmed until nearer the release when reviewers and companies start recieving stock.

I'd be careful, they locked Minority Report, for the same reason they could well lock this disc...they only hold the US rights.

Wasn't Minority Report released under Paramount though, even though it's a dreamworks picture ?

Thanks for the responses. So, if its Dreamworks then it'll be region free but if its Paramount then it could be locked?

Do we know for sure which studio is releasing it yet? I believe it's Dreamworks...

Thanks.

Paramount distributes Dreamworks titles, folks.
Paramount distributed Minority Report, Paramount locked Minority Report.

They used to be totally region free, but are now locking movies that they don't
have the international distribution rights for.

Ya dig?

Thanks for that, that certainly clears it up.
So if they don't have the international rights then it'll be locked.
Anyone know if they do hold the rights?
Perhaps it'll be best to hold off on the purchase for now...

--> Sweeney Todd's region free (Dreamworks, distributed by Paramount), as is Payback (Paramount).
