Default SACD on BDP-S570 rarely plays

Trying to play Dark Side of the Moon SACD on my s570 connected to an Onkyo TX-SR707 AV receiver connected to a Samsung 58" TV. All HDMI 1.3

Worked fine a month ago. Today the SACD was recognized as a CD. After trying to change settings for several hours, I got it to work for the entire album. I turned the equipment off and then back on, now BluRay player again recognizes the SACD as a CD. It just seems something in the Bluray player is intermittent.

All other BluRay player features seem to be fine.

I believe it is true that I should be able to connect the BluRay player directly to the TV with HDMI and it should display as Super Audio CD, but the TV will not be able to produce any sound since it cannot process DSD. But it should display OK. When I try this, it shows as a "CD" and sound works.

I tried three other SACDs. All are recognized only as SACD.

Any ideas what I might be missing?
