anyone know what is the difference between KDL-52XBR4 and KDL-52XBR5?

They're spelt differently, and the XBR5 costs you a crap load more. If you are trying to overcompensate for something...go for the XBR5. If not, go with the 4. Very few people will be able to tell the difference.

Usually it's the very glossy piano black fascia. (that was the difference between the xbr2 and xbr3)

The xbr4 will also have a black fascia available as an addon but it is less glossy.

Also

6 more months of warranty and an RS-232 port for your PC

One has an 18 month warranty, the other only 12, plus it also has some sort of Home Theater control.
Not worth the price if you ask me. Get the 4

The honest difference in picture quality is nothing. It has a gloss black finish on the xbr5, and a matte black finish on the xbr 4, the xbr5 has an RS232 input on the back for service and i think 6 months extra warranty. It will cost like $300-$500 more for that. But I must admit the gloss black finish is nicer looking.

the xbr5 has the 18 month in home warranty the xbr4 has 12 month and non in home warranty.... and the xbr5 matches the ps3 lol
