Default Mitsubishi DLP scare!!!

I own a Mitsubishi 65C9 and yesterday after around 5hrs. of use I wanted to watch a bluray and the screen turned green, there was sound but no picture. I turned the t.v off for about 5 minutes and when i turned it one it was the same green screen. I have all my HDMI hook-ups thru my Onkyo receiver. I unplugged it from my surge protector for about another 5 minutes and plugged it back in, and it works now. I watched a whole movie with no problems, this has never happened before and i've had the t.v for 2 yrs now. I'm paranoid now.... has anyone experienced this? I love this t.v it has never given me any signs of problems before, now I'm afraid one of these days it wont turn on. What's up with the green screen??

every once in a while you have a headache, doesn't mean you have a brain tumor right!?! I wouldn't worry about the tv issue unless it happens more frequently under the conditions you mentioned or any conditions. then seek advice.

nothings perfect, us or them! Oh and your right, one of these days it won't turn on, of course the same is true of us. In the meantime, go outside and enjoy the sunshine and don't worry about it!

I agree, do not loose sleep..... Just enjoy what you have until it is a problem.

I'm waiting for the Geek Squad to come out this afternoon to get my TV running again.

I too have had this happen. Turned out it was my DVR/CABLE BOX "MOTOROLA". When you turned the TV off and then back on it was fine. Hope this is your problem.
