Hello!
This past week I ordered a Bluray copy of 'A Single Man', from Amazon. However, I was sent a Canadian Bluray release version of the film, rather than the US one, which I thought I was purchasing. My question is, is there any difference in quality between the US release of the film, to the Canadian release? Seeing as I've heard several people mention how Alliance tends to do a bit of a strange job with their releases, I'm temped to return this disc. Any suggestions? Thank you for your time! |

If they're within a couple weeks of each other, the video transfer and audio will be the same as the US release (I don't think there are any exceptions). If the Canadian release came out months later, it will absolutely be the same. If the Canadian release came out several months or even years before the American release, then the Alliance version is inferior. Seeing how both the US and CAN releases of A Single Man share the same release date (July 6, 2010), they will be identical (the only thing I can think of that may differ would be the subtitle options and the inclusion of a Québécois-French audio track). ![]() Thanks mate! I was just a bit worried since just about every Alliance review I've seen by members on here are horrible. Not to mention I've bought a copy of 'Blade', Alliance version, and it was pretty horrible. But will check into the release dates in the future. ![]() Am keeping my Bluray copy then. ![]() |

yeah keep it, as you can see it's the same, we watch the same movies in Canada as well.
