I thought the original Sony SACDs were near reference quality. Unfortunately, I lost CStW...may have left it at someone's house after a listening session. I ended up getting the Japanese Sony to replace it. Not anxious to buy again no matter how good the MFSL are.

I purchased SRV Texas Flood from MOFI. It's really nothing spectacular. It doesn't have that unbelievable crispness that I hear on some of the best SACD's, and without the multichannel to really allow the sound to stretch out, it doesn't sound all that much better than just a regular old CD. I wouldn't say it's worth the $25. And I have done a side by side comparison. Don't get me wrong, there's a difference, but it's incredibly minor.
