Default 'Baraka' reissued in a standard Blu plastic case!

Found this in a local CD/DVD store today and took the photo with my iPhone. Looks like MPI has responded to our complaints! So I guess the question is whether they'll exchange our old cardboard cases for the new ones.....

My "original" one is still in the plastic, and I'm planning on opening it, and watching it...... Is it really THAT big of a deal that it's in a cardboard case????? sheesh

Every time I remove the disc out of the box and try to place it back in the case I cringe.

Cardboard is fine...but this particular one is POORLY engineered. Difficult to open, begs for scratches, and many reports of warping.

That was only a popular talking point during all of the Anti-HD DVD B.S.

If they only released Blu-rays in Steelbooks, people would complain about their shelves falling off of the walls

some people claim that the packaging actually warps the disc. so if i were you i would remove the disc from the packaging as soon as possible, or exchange it. I kept the original packaging, but store the disc in a jewel case, just in case .

No, it's not that big of a deal. I don't even notice the difference on my shelf, taking it out of the case, etc.

I just find it extremely difficult to take in and out of the paper case and have found myself cursing the poor design more than once. I would love to have a blu case for it.

huh...I guess I just didn't think it was all that difficult. But I guess I could see how it might be an annoyance.

I noticed the $32.99 price tag on the case. Way too high of a price for Baraka. I remember seeing it for as cheap as $20.

Yeah, I know. That store sells BDs (and DVDs) at list price or just a couple of bucks below. They do have used BDs, though, at (sometimes) fair prices, and I've gotten a few good discs that way. Plus, you can sell your old CDs, DVDs, and BDs for store credit (or cash).
