In recent news, Monoprice has decided to unload a new line of winning products such as active speakers, powered subwoofers, 5.1 speaker sets, and yes - an internet connected Blu-ray player

I have purchased many electronics and other items such as speakers from Monoprice, besides cables. They are generally very respectably built and have been very high value for their purposes. I cannot imagine at the price point that Monoprice would opt to sell a product that could potentially ruin their reputation. Monoprice also offers lifetime support on all products, so support would not be a concern. As far as the specs go, that's really anyone's guess. Monoprice themselves do not have any further information on the product. The most likely reason they post information about future items before they hit the market is for people like me to find the products and make a buzz about them.

I doubt Monoprice will make their Blu Ray Player inhouse or by any Monoprice workers, it will be outsourced to China and made mass produced by LG or Magnavox or Samsung or one of those.
