HDMI Cable Issues with PS3

So my PS3 that I've had for years now is having issues with HDMI connection meaning that everytime I turn it on, it keeps searching for signal and nothing happens.

I tried a different HDMI Cable, a different connection on the back of the Receiver and still nothing. Sometimes it will work if I wait for a long time or just keep resetting the PS3/Receiver.

I know the problem isn't with the receiver of the Cable so it has to be with the HDMI connection on the PS3. Has anyone ever ran into this?

Also I wanted to know what other connection I can use besides HDMI. The Digital Out is just for Audio on the back right? I don't think I have the other stuff that it came with.
