streaming from PC to PS3

how to you set the PS3 up as a media center? been trying to figure it out but im lost.

You should start by your PC or laptop By authorizing the PC to communicate with the PS3 .

Your computer needs to be set up to share its contents with other devices on your network. You'll need a media server such as the one built into windows (windows media center) and then you will have to have the PS3 search for the server once its on.

ps3 natively cannot play certain formats of files. you'll need the appropriate codecs if you want to play files such as MKVs and such. once those are on the computer your ps3 should be able to play back those files if you use ps3 media server, which is a java enabled app you can download for free.

other than that just do some research...sorry i cant explain better but that should get you started.
