Canada Coraline Limited Edition Gift Set

The Coraline Limited Edition gift set (blu-ray) comes with a book and some postcards. Does anyone have this collection and think the extras are worth the premium?

I loved the movie and I already own the original blu-ray, but if the gift set is worth the price then I may go for that as well.

The regular 2-disc blu-ray with slipcover was 19.99 in Canada a short while ago. This new set looks quite nice, but I doubt its worth 39.99+.

I just bought the Canadian version of the Coraline gift set for US$23. Not bad, especially considering I never bought any version of this film before. Apparently, the technical quality, on-disc features, contents and packaging are virtually identical to the US version. Although it has the old-style anaglyph 3D version, and not the better 3D version released this year, my home video system is not set up for 3D anyway (and, with consumer trends concerning 3D going the way they are, it may never be). I'll be more than happy enough to watch this brilliant film in its strong 2D presentation. And I own the collectibles in the set. Nice.

Sometimes it really is best to just wait a good while before buying.

Read that the 3D version is awesome. May get it when the price is right.
