Lt. Joe Clemons has been given the order: take Pork Chop Hill. Olive Films? Does this mean they have a deal with MGM now as well? Because King is coming through them as well according to Amazon, and the DVD of that was from MGM. Is it Olive who are putting out Thunder Road as well?

WOW.....one of the GREAT war films. I have been waiting on this one for years and look forward to retiring my DVD. Peck gives a memorable performance as the commander tasked to hold a hill against overwhelming attack by the Chinese in the last days of the Korean War. The stakes are high as the Panmunjon peace talks are underway and the Communists seek to annihilate the defending Americans to gain a bargaining advantage, turning the hill into a symbol of prestige for both sides out of all proportion to its strategic value. The movie is hard-hitting and brutally effective at showing the desperation and disillusionment of the defense to hold on while truce negotiations are taking place miles away.

I suppose that's what happens when a studio declares bankruptcy and then needs to do what it can to come out of it.

I'm so glad this was released here in the US. The transfer looks very nice with a bitrate hovering around 29. Thank God TT didn't release this.

Finally got a copy of this great film. The night time scenes look fantastic.

So I assume there no reason expect anything additional for pq in the upcoming Imprint blu? I wonder if the pq will be the same? I notice the Imprint has subtitles though which is a plus

expect less the same or worse when it comes to Imprint. It's rare when they have the top release.

Yeah, that’s kinda what I’m expecting. Though if they had the same pq + ‘subtitles’ then the choice would be easy. Even though it would be a re-buy
