I just bought a new Yamaha 1800, What is the best codecs, Dolby TRUE-HD? Or simply uncompressed PCM?

There's lots of different threads about this already. Essentially, they should all sound the same (but don't, supposedly due to Dolby's DialNorm). But one thing to make sure of is that your player actually bitstreams the audio, other wise the player will need to decode it and bypass the Dolby/DTS decoders in the reciever.
