New screen

ok, I built a 100 inch (99 once you count in the trim overlapping) DIY PJ a couple years a go. it's been a joy to have and looks great but I wanted something BIGGER (strange, that's what she said ).... started looking around for some plans to build a 120 inch screen. Unfortunately it's a LOT harder to find stuff to make a screen above 110 inches. I happened to stumble across someone selling a 119 inch Draper Cineperm Tab tensioned screen for $150 on Craigslist. went out to check it out to find out the screen was basically NEW!! the guy had recieved 2 projector screens in a business barter and only needed one. the other was a motorized screen so he sold me the Draper XT1300V for $150 (going for $550-$630 on places like Visual apex or amazon) installed it in about 15 minutes and I"M IN LOVE!!!. that 20 inches makes the difference and the screen puts out a noticeable better picture than my old screen.

Congrats, that is a killer deal!

Sometimes slightly used is the best way to go. I just bought a Global Cache GC-100-12 which is a $236 dollar unit on Amazon right now used off a private seller on eBay for $29 bucks! Basically it is an IR/RS232 repeater that sits on your home network that allows you to control components (or whatever) using a third party Apple or Android app. I'm still gloating over my find as well.

oh yeah, I'm loving it. My buddy got lucky and also found on craigslist a garage sale for one of those 10 million dollar homes out in the foothills here. guy sold him a Bretford professional 124 inch pro grade motorized screen for $175... thing is DANG impressive, even a TAD better picture quality than my Draper 119 incher (I was tempted to buy it first cuz 124 inch motorized was such a good deal but my 119 inch Draper LITERALLY is limiting me out on my wall. )
