![]() ![]() Queensrÿche: Mindcrime at the Moore Blu-ray Queensrÿche: Mindcrime at the Moore Blu-ray Review Scourced from Blabbermouth.com Eagle Rock has set an October 18 release date for the Blu-ray edition of QUEENSRŸCHE's "Mindcrime At The Moore" concert video. "Mindcrime At The Moore" captures QUEENSRŸCHE's performance of both "Operation: Mindcrime I" and "II" in their entirety in front of a rabid hometown crowd at Seattle's Moore Theatre. The marathon show includes a full theatrical production complete with Surround Sound, video imagery, actors portraying the concept albums' characters onstage with the band, and a special appearance from the Seattle Seahawks drum line. Billboard has called the release a "real treat" and "a must for Rÿche and Rollers." "Mindcrime At The Moore" features singer and chief songwriter Geoff Tate along with guitarists Michael Wilton and Mike Stone, bassist Eddie Jackson and drummer Scott Rockenfield performing all 32 "Mindcrime" tracks plus a two-song encore featuring their signature hits "Jet City Woman" and "Walk In The Shadows". The bonus features include a tour documentary, a featurette on the band's "Rock & Ride Across America" charity motorcycle ride for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, and a live performance of "The Chase" from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, featuring Ronnie James Dio's only public appearance as Dr. X. Another release I hope they turn out great on the blu-ray format ![]() Last edited by Deciazulado; 10-18-2011 at 03:22 AM. |

Bought Live Evolution recorded at the Moore Theater in Seattle a few years ago and so much of it was lip synced with pre-recorded music that it really killed it for a live concert. My guess is this will have a bunch of pre-recorded music too.

I like this band but their new music has gone down the shitter. Please stick with your greatest hits material during concert! I wish they would come out with their music videos on blu ray

Yep, have to agree. This was a good show (saw it in San Francisco), at least the Mindcrime I part.

Operation Mindcrime is still my favorite album of all time. I have the first Livecrime concert when they were huge. Watching this one is really depressing, considering how small the crowd is now compared to the first time around. And yes...Mindcrime 2 was terrible!!!!!!! Then again, everything they did after Empire was.

Absolutely love Mindcrime, Empire and Promised Land.
It seems that everything that came out after Promised ALL sounded the same. That was one thing that I liked so much about their music - it could sound so different from the previous track but was still 100% Queensryche ![]() Will have to pick up the Blu. Seen them in concert a few times but sadly it's also been quite a few years since the last time. |

We will just have to agree to disagree, because I don't find Queensryche to be straight heavy metal at all. They never were - which is why the likes of Kerrang and MetalHammer could not figure out how to catgorize them in the beginning when no one was even talking about progressive metal. Progressive was a term music journalists would typically use when they wrote about Yes, Marillion, etc. Heavy Metal and Progressive were in two completely different worlds. Queensryche brought them together. Pro-B Last edited by pro-bassoonist; 10-18-2011 at 09:08 PM. |

I would have to disagree, with facts. Queensryche is most definitely not a progressive metal band. They always did short, straight-forward songs with simple arrangements...not my idea of progressive, and not the "fact" part I was referring to ![]() The fact part was that Fates Warning was doing the Queensryche style years before Queensryche was, before truly becoming progressive themselves, although even the simplest Fates Warning has been more progressive than Queensryche. Dream Theater really has nothing in common with Queensryche and dare I say would have been influenced not one bit by a band that was near contemporary. Queensryche has never had progressive elements in their music like Dream Theater. Although, DT has mostly regressed in recent memory. |
