Wasn't sure where best to post about this (either in the Black Christmas: Collector's Edition thread in the North America sub-forum, or as a new thread in the Books sub-forum). A couple of weeks ago, while checking Amazon UK for upcoming books by publisher BearManor Media (they've published various film and TV reference books, including one about Remington Steele), I found out that a book called It's Me, Billy - Black Christmas Revisited is coming out next month (Monday 14th February).

^^ Yes, that It's Me, Billy - Black Christmas Revisited book must just be coming out in the UK. It was released in 2022 in the US by BearManor Media.

It's a very solid book about the films.

Got a copy of BearManor Media's release of that book around the time it was released, in February two years ago (usually the books they publish/release are made available on Amazon UK as well).

I read elsewhere on here last year that a new Black Christmas short film was in the works (think it was a follow-up to the original).

This thread's title has been changed (after I asked for the thread title to include Stop the Killer's planned release of the latest in their novelizations of horror films series (of the original Black Christmas).

Definitely not cheap. The bundle with the Game, Book, and the Replica is almost $300 + shipping.

I have to agree with what you've said above Katatonia. If I were to be honest, I am only interested in/would have been happy with pre-ordering just the Black Christmas novelization book. The earliest opportunity with the pledges where you can get the novelization, you have to pledge over $90. And I know someone is going to chime in and say that $300+ for the board game, novelization and crystal glass Unicorn ornament replica seems fair, but I have to agree that that does seem a bit steep.

It appears there are rewards when you make a pledge, choosing from various Stopthekiller releases (like the Halloween II board game).

It says in the small print on the linked page posted above, that this Kickstarter campaign ends on Thursday, September 12th. Hopefully, the novelization will be available to order on it's own on Stopthekiller's website later this year.

Thanks for posting the update on the Black Christmas novelization book Katatonia.

It seems like everything has gone up in price, so I shouldn't be too surprised that when the Black Christmas novelization is put up for pre-order later this month it's pre-order price will be higher. The price of the Happy Birthday to Me novelization book I'm sure went up slightly, compared to the Silent Night, Deadly Night novelization.

Intrigued to see what the "exciting holiday-related item" will be.

Read about this during the past week to a fortnight but didn't get round to posting it: Stopthekiller has had a name change. It's now called Beyond Killer Games (formerly Stop The Killer Games).

My Book + Game finally arrived a couple days ago from the Kickstarter campaign.

Sadly, they really sort of ripped off the Kickstarter backers. They originally asked that you pay for "shipping" later, instead of in the initial Kickstarter campaign.

The cost of shipping was $36.23 for the Book + Game, which I obviously had no choice but to pay earlier this month. It was shipped by "Parcel" from Amazon Fulfillment.

Now if that would have been an International shipping rate, fine... but this was shipped from within the USA, not expedited, and it should not have cost them more than $10 maximum to ship. The shipping box was not that big, or even very heavy. No bubble wrap around the items, just some extra brown shipping paper stuck in the box.

Needless to say, I'll think twice about backing another Kickstarter from Beyond Killer (formerly Stop The Killer) if they ask you to "pay later" for shipping again.

Thanks Katatonia for posting the pictures of the Black Christmas novelization and board game. Has there been an explanation (for starters) about why there was a delay of a few months in getting both shipped?

Beyond Killers have been sending out a few notification emails recently. I have lost interest in them to be honest. I know, like a lot of other things (both essential and non-essential), that prices have gone up. But it has seemed with each new title they've announced, the prices have been going up quite a bit. I found the Black Christmas novelization and board game including shipping were too much for me (ditto with ordering them separately).

Elsewhere, I have not checked in some weeks whether the Halloween Illustrated book (the standard edition) is still available, as well as the Halloween: Hidden Movement board game. And has there been an update on the Chopping Mall novelization?

Haven't got round to watching the It's Me, Billy short and subsequent short film sequel.

Thanks again for posting the pictures of the book and board game.

Both look very good.
