The film is clearly influenced by L'avventura, but it also anticipates some achievements of Antonioni's Red Desert.
Italian DVD features English and French dubs, but doesn't have any subtitles.

I have this exact same disc. Great film

Too bad The Libertine a.k.a La matriarca isn't out on a decent DVD. A Blu-ray release will be quite incredible.

La matriarca has been released in France, with Italian audio and French subs.
