Any Blu-ray members in Bahrain/Saudi Arabia/Qatar?

I work in Bahrain/Saudi Arabia and just wanted to check if there are any
Blu-Ray.com members in my part of the world.
It is summer time here, that means it is 36 Degrees C at 6.30am!!

I don't live there, but can you let us know about the "home video" culture there? Do they download more? DVDs? VCDs? Blu-rays? Arabic DVDs of Hollywood films? Anamorphic take off there yet or still crappy letterboxed and full screen movies? Find any good quality Arabic films?

I have a mission for you if you have time. I have been seeking out a Lebanese film for many years on DVD. Can you see if the film BOSTA is out on DVD with English subtitles and/or any other technical specs? I'm assuming that a Bahrain/Saudia Arabian video store would carry other Arabic films from Egypt or Lebanon for example...

The Home Video culture is a mixture of downloads and DVDs. There is a big market for Blu-Rays as well which piggy-backs on the PS3 gaming world.
I will look out for the film you want and get back to you soonest.

I would also assume that a home theater is pretty cherished in Saudia Arabia since movie theaters don't exist there...I would love to see photos of someone's home theater that lives in Saudia Arabia...

Hey Chris I live near you. I am from UAE (AlAin city). The Blu Rays here are expensive as compare to US and EU. Many sellers here purchase from Amazon and then sell here. I am sure BD is expensive in Saudi Arabia too but I dont know much about Bahrain.

PS: As far as I am aware that Movies in Saudia Arabia on VHS was heavily censored but what are they doing now in case of Blu rays and DVDs?

Blue Ray market is starting picking up in Bahrain.
and btw, everytime i'm flying out I'm bringing in some titles.

Hello, my name is Faisal i am a native bahrainy
And a big fan of the blu rays and don't like to download them as i find it much better to actually buy them (not to mention the internet speed in here) so could you please help me locate the best place to buy blu rays? At the moment i buy them from amazon, one more thing is there any place that rent blu rays in here?
