This afternoon, I received a text from my girlfriend, informing me that she had purchased the BFI DVD of Jean Cocteau's Orphée from a local charity shop for £1.49. Score.
I love charity shops, but it's not often I find an arthouse gem amongst the endless copies of Training Day. The best find I ever made was a legit Criterion DVD of The Silence of the Lambs for £2.00. The only time I've ever found a Criterion title in a UK chazza. What are your best charity shop finds? |
