I normally play Blu-rays with Cyberlink, but I've now purchased my first title without English subtitles so that is no longer good enough. I need a program that can play Blu-ray discs and also load subtitles from an external file - those are the only two requirements.
I've heard this can be accomplished with MPC, but I cannot find a single simple set of instructions on how to accomplish this. Every website discussing it requires installing some random set of codecs and then changing 100 settings. If anyone can point me to a clear guide on how to get MPC working from scratch, or some other alternative, I'd greatly appreciate it. ![]() |

I'm not sure MPC can play Blu-ray discs at all... Correct me if I'm wrong.
About your actual question, I am not sure such a player exists but you can check here http://www.reviewmaze.com/2011/01/wi...-software.html the available options for Blu-ray playback, most of them have trial versions. |

MPC can play Blu-rays, but not without a ton of hacking around with various filters and settings. If I could find a "from-the-beginning" set of instructions, I'd try it, but everything I've found online is people asking questions about some mid-point of the process. I don't feel like messing up all the codecs on my machine just to give this a try.
Oh well, I guess I can just copy the main title of the BD to .mkv format and then play it with the subtitle file in the same directory. I just really wanted to avoid having to spend 30+ minutes ripping the discs each time (or keep multiple 20+ GB files needlessly on my hard drive...). |

I play blu-ray discs on my dell notebook
This is how: -corecodec (coreavc) -mirilis splash pro, windows media player hc -anydvd hd from slysoft - this software runs in background and eliminate the protection from the disc (this is not a permanent solution, just for the time the disc is playing). I need this so i can open the m2ts file from stream folder (inside bdmv folder). Than i can open the m2ts file with splash pro or wmp-hc and load any subtitle i want. This is a working solution.
