Heavenly Sword and Lair Do They Deliver - Blu-ray Forum

Just want to get some opinions, personally I love both.

Haven't bought Heavenly Sword yet, but I liked the demo. Lair is awesome... I don't care what the critics say. Yeah, there were some glitches in the controls but it's still a really fun game and it looks amazing.

Once you get the controls down, it is a very enjoyable experience. I actually got pretty addicted to it for awhile.

Been through Heavenly Sowrd twicow now and am on my third play-through. The game is nothing short of amazing and the guy at IGN who gave it a 7 is on crack. He didn't like the parts where you have to play as Kai and those are my favorite parts of the game, apparently he wanted more buttom mashing or something, goon.

Lair plain sucks. One of the worst games I've played in a long time. Piece of shit. Looks only go so far, and the constant framerate hiccups make a shitty game near unplayable, I didn't mind the sixaxis controls or anything, just not a fun game.

I loved Kai's missions too, they have a resident evil 4 feeling to them. The game could have been longer, but I enjoyed every minute of it and just wanted to see what came next.

I’m a Sony fan boy but these games where not very good. I can think of at least 15 Xbox 360 games that are much more fun and that hurts because I hate Microsoft. I know us PS3 fans had a hard year but that is no reason to glorify sub par games. This winter PS3 fans will have some very good games and it just gets better. Very soon the 360's fan boys will feel like they got ripped off because the PS3 lineup will rock

I can understand your opinion of Lair given that it does have some framerate issues and complicated controls, although i think it's still a great game w/ a great story none the less, but to say heavenly sword is a sub par game is ridiculous. The game is absolutely phenomenal. I just wish it was longer. Everything about screams next-gen, the graphics, voice acting, sound gameplay it's the complete package-albeit a very small one

. Please explain why you think heavenly sword is a sub par game my friend.

Sorry, but I have to question this.

Name the 15 exclusive games that you consider better than Heavenly Sword for Xbox 360.

If you had said 5, I'd be like sure. But 15?

For all the press the 360 gets about "must own games", the only ones which are exclusive to it are Gears of War, Dead Rising, and Forza Motorsport. Even the last of those is questionable as being must own because racing games is a limited genre.

If you are an RPG fan I suppose you could claim Blue Dragon and/or Eternal Sonata. I love RPGs but didn't particularly like Blue Dragon.

Even then Gears of War is heading to PC.

I like my 360 console, but the only two games I've purchased on it this year are BioShock and Guitar Hero 2, and neither one of them is exclusive.

but I watched the trailer/gameplay on the net recently, and personally I don't see how just riding around on a dragon killing dudes all day could hold my attention for more than 10 mins., no matter how pretty it looks. I would need more variety than that.

Pretty Graphics+ Killing people and Dragons, while on a Dragon= Fun, Kickass Game

Lair is a decent to good game depending on your expectations for it if I were handing out scores it would get a 7.8

Now Heavenly sword on the other hand is fantastic, not the second coming but it's a great game with high replay value I urge everyone to buy it.

I havent played lair but i can say Heavenly Sword is top notch. The two characters are totally different, the scenery is amazing, and the cinematography is outstanding. Very entertaining. I havent finished it yet but thats because ive been distracted by NHL08 and Warhawk.
