Default Tink (Live action Tinkerbell movie)

Looks like Disney is making a live action romantic comedy movie based on Tinkerbell.

Could be really good, especially with Elizabeth Banks starring. In the pic of her in the article she looks just like Tinkerbell!

Banks is good enough that this could work, although it'll probably be a lot like Enchanted.

Yeah so far most people are saying this will end up being like enchanted.

I was thinking the same. This title doesn't sound overly appealing to me but if it's like Enchanted then it will be a good one.

This could actually be rather good. It may turn out to be like Enchanted, but because it is using a character who every little girl recognises, it will 'feel' more Disney and also since Tinkerbell has been associated with Disney for almost 60 years, there's more of a Disney quality about her.

The chances are it'll be in 3D but I don't mind on this occasion. Usually I only really like 3D if it's in animation, but this time it could work well because with Tinkerbell being a fairy she could fly across the screen and you'd get a really good sense of her flying and it not look fake.

Elizabeth Banks is a good choice and it'd be interesting to see how she plays the role.

So long as this doesn't take place in the modern world, then I'm in. It would work far better if it takes place in the same enviroment as the Peter Pan and/or Tinkerbell movies.

I'm liking the sound of this, I just hope we don't have to wait too long.

Elizabeth Banks Compares Live Action Tinker Bell to Elf

Quote:
It's been quite a while since word broke that Elizabeth Banks was attached to star in a live-action Tinker Bell movie (in July of 2010 to be exact), but Banks tells Moviehole that it might still happen and compares the project to Elf. Banks said they are still in the script stage.

"It’s a live action 'Tinker Bell' movie sort of in the vein of 'Elf' in which I would play Tinker Bell," she said. "Tinker Bell gets thrown out of Never Never Land, and it’s about where she goes and who she meets and the adventures she has…."

The Jon Favreau-directed Elf (2003) stars Will Ferrell as a normal man who was raised by an elf at the North Pole and goes looking for his real dad in New York.

She added that she thinks "Tinker Bell is one of the greatest characters because she’s mischievous and snarky and fun and sexy and jealous and vengeful.

The romantic comedy will be produced by Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and McG.

Meh, could've been interesting, but Disney needs to stop remaking their films.
